Dr. Kersti Lundin obtained her PhD in Zoophysiology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1991. She thereafter started as an embryologist and researcher at the Unit of Reproductive Medicine, Sahlgrenska Hospital, Gothenburg, where she became Laboratory Director of Reproductive Medicine in 1997 and Associate Professor in 2004.
Dr Lundin has published a large number of articles and chapters in international and national scientific journals and books and presented at many international congresses. She is a lecturer on courses for medical and biology students and laboratory staff, midwifes and medical doctors in Sweden and Europe, and has been involved in the start and running of both the Swedish and the Nordic IVF Laboratory Associations.
Dr. Lundin has been a member of the ESHRE executive committee, coordinator of the ESHRE Embryology certification committee, coordinator of the ESHRE Special Interest Group of Embryology, and chairman of ESHRE 2015-2017.

She graduated in 2002 in Biochemical Sciences at the University of Valencia and obtained
her PhD at the same University in 2007 with the highest grade "Cum Laude". During her PhD
studies she specialized in Molecular Microbiology and performed a stay at the Heinrich Heine

Felipe Vilella Mitjana
I was graduated in Biological Sciences (2002) and Biochemistry (2004) at the University of
Navarra. In 2006, I obtained my PhD in Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the
University of Lleida with the highest degree "Cum Laude". I did the first postdoctoral fellowship
in the laboratory of Professor Aragon in the Clinical Science Centre of the Medical Research
Council (MRC) in London supported by the Marie Curie program. In 2007, I was awarded the
prestigious scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science (FECYT) for the formation
of Spanish doctors abroad.

Fatemi graduated as a M.D. in 1999 at the “Vrije Universiteit
Brussel”/Belgium with magnum cum laude. In 2005 he won the Pfizer Educational
Grands as best graduate fellow in gynaecology in Brussels/Belgium.
In 2008 he was recognized as a subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery
by ESHRE (European society of Human Reproduction) and EBCOG (European
Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
During his training and later on also as a consultant, he has performed several
studies in various fields of gynaecology and reproductive endocrinology and surgery.
In 2008, he successfully defended his PhD on the endocrinology of the luteal phase
in stimulated and substituted cycles.
Human M. Fatemi is author of more than 80 internationally peer-reviewed articles
and book chapters. He held more than 200 invited spoken presentations at
international conferences around the globe.
In 2009, at the age of 35, he received the title of “clinical Professor” from the
University of Brussels/Belgium. He is a visiting Professor at Dubrovnik International
University/Croatia and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in
Tehran/Iran. Currently he is working as a medical director of the Middle East
operations for IVI-ME in Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Muscat.
He speaks fluently 5 languages (English, German, French, Dutch and Persian)
